SYLLABUS - SPRING 2005
COURSE OVERVIEW
The business and personal finances of an entrepreneur are
integrally related. Often personal resources fund business
operations and business resources fund individual necessities and
obligations. This course is designed to familiarize the
entrepreneur with wealth maximization and tax minimization strategies
for business and personal activities. This course covers basic
tax planning concepts and includes personal financial planning and
estate planning issues.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course is designed to ensure that entrepreneurs are
knowledgeable of:
GRADES
1. Final grades are based on the following scale:
A = 90 - 100
B = 70 - 89
Any grade below 70 will be given at the instructor's discretion(i.e.,
C or F). + or - will
be awarded similarly.
2. Final grades are determined as follows:

EXAMINATIONS
Exams will contain a combination of problems, essay, short answer
and/or
objective questions. To prepare for examinations, it is suggested that
you
study material covered in class and WSJ articles. The final
exam is not comprehensive.
