The History of the Vibes

The Rider Vibes originally started as an all-male a cappella group in the Fall of 2003. Keith Carletta got in contact with two other guys, Ken Levin and Adam Reader who later held auditions and accepted 4 other guys.

After auditions, there was a big response from a few girls who were interested in singing in an all-female group. Keith helped three girls, Jess Presuto, Rachel Ashley, and Andrea Lajoie actually start an all-female a cappella group called the Rider Harmonies. As auditions neared it became obvious that it would make the most sense to go coed. So with an open mind, auditions were held and the idea of going coed became decision. Some of the music arranged for the guys' group was easily converted into coed music, and a few more songs were arranged.

Over the years, the group has changed in size and style many times as the membership and leadership changes.
